Sr. K through Grade 6 Mondays @ 7:00 PM AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. The key Bible verse is 2 Timothy 2:15; which says “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” The goals of AWANA are: 1. To reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ. 2. To train them to serve Him. Awana has three key components. The games time for kids to burn off energy and have lots of fun. The handbook time gives the kids opportunity to recite the verses they have memorized and to continue working on new material with the help of their leaders. The third component is the council time. During this time we all assemble in the sanctuary for a time of worship, a time of instruction and to acknowledge and give out the awards earned from the prior week. AWANA blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization and tons of fun. The program we run here at Aylmer Evangelical Missionary Church is for children SK thru to Gr. 6.
